I was woken up the other day by Coco drawing stick figures on my window, moments like these I love and I wish I could just jar and pickle her at this age.

My creative obsessions have taking over me lately, often I wake up in the night and start designing in my head til I fall back asleep. I think it's beautiful to have these great passions in my life that wake me from  my sleep.

I bought a new camera the other day, that has been one BIG obsession and also the new photoshop tools that I have been downloading and playing with too have kept me glued to the computer for hours on the weekends.

My latest design craze is the girls jewerly line I am working on and shall be available to buy in summertime! I really can't wait to show you all the gorgeous necklaces that are coming! We can all say goodbye to the cheesy tacky plastic necklaces that our daughters all adore. My jewerly will be stylish, sweet and be hardwearing too!

This week fabric arrived for more Coco and the Owl prints, it shall be made into singlets, t-shirts and long sleeve tops soon...YaY! I've gone sample made making up some singlets today.

Paparazzi week with Sami B

It's been an amazing week. I was honoured to be interviewed and photographed by the lovely Sami B  this week. You can read the interview on her blog if you click on the link. Sami has an incredible eye for capturing beautiful moments, she is wonderful with kids and has such a sweet nature, it was easy to forget that there is a lense pointing at you...we felt so at ease and had fun just hanging out at home for the shoot.

I've had so many emails about the Coco and Owl top... it's coming soon, that's all I can say at this time. I don't want to tell you a date unless it's not ready and I'd hate to dissapoint anyone.

The good news is!! the Dove grey wool coat fabric has arrived, this coat will have a limited run as I have had trouble getting the larger amounts of it. Next week I shall be taking pre orders.... I will post to you on my blog once they are ready for order. YaY! I love that coat and I'm so happy I have some more fabric, as Coco hasn't got one in her size yet.

Everything here has been great...well, apart from the coldness of winter but nothing a night next to the fireplace can't fix (with a lovely glass of red). It's also our turn to cook soon for our masterchef night with our friends...Yikes. We have no idea what they are going to give us to cook yet.(they give us a mystery box of food and we cook it for them for dinner) We still have a few weeks til that happens, so... to the TV to watch some more master chef and get inspired!

We are also looking forward to our trip to Bali soon. And we are going to catch up with my lovely friend Saffron who owns the divine label Coco & Ginger I'm sure you would have heard about this label, they are definately one of my all time favs and are getting rave reviews in lots of kids mags since starting their label a year ago. Saffron lives in Bali with her 2 daughters and husband, what a life she has! Read her lovely Blog  and see all the sweet pictures of their life in Bali.

Thank you Small magazine

To my surprise my Tea Pony dress was in the latest Small Magazine worn in this photo with a Trelise Cooper skirt. I really want that skirt for Coco, just love it!  A big thank you small mag, your wonderful, it's surprises like this that make my day, especially since I've got the flu and feel quite crumby.

If your wondering what Coco wears to school... there's no designer style on this girl...
Everyday is a great day to be a fairy...complete with plastic feathered heels and a cheesy smile.

Just fitting into the car is a problem.

I never thought I'd have a daughter that was clad in pink from head to toe. That's why I started Tea Pony, I wasn't interested in the pink and tizzy clothes for girls on offer from the local stores. I've learnt my lesson, don't take Coco with me when we go clothes shopping, because it's always an argument over what to buy..."My favourite colour is pink Mum, I want the pink one!"   Though, in the end, she gets more comments on her sense of style than I do on mine when we go out. So what do I know?

At the moment Tea Pony is desperately getting some more Coco and Owl tops printed and also still sourcing some more wool fabric for jackets... I'll keep you all posted. I have a lot of customers wanting to place pre orders. I think next week I shall start taking them.

Strapping on the heels

It's time to strap on my sexy black heels again and go out for some fun. Sorry feet, I know you hate them! But you really do look good in them and tonight is my friend Daphne's 30th B'day party and also her farewell too. She is moving on to greener pastures and shacking up with a new boyfriend down in Sydney. She will be sadly missed but it just gives me another excuse to go to Sydney more often.

Looking forward to a big night tonight because-

starting Monday- I am on a detox, fresh juices, soup, salad and fruit for 2 weeks. I'm really looking forward to it. No alcohol, tea, smoking, preservatives...nothing but fresh organic produce and yoga a couple of times a week. Aaaaahhh, I can hear my body thanking me but secretly hating me too. My new love at the moment is broccoli sprouts- so divine to eat! I know it may sound a tad boring to you but there's nothing I love more than salads with them on top. (Please stop yawning everyone!)

Tea Pony has a new office to play in now. It's twice the size and I now have a much needed dispatch table for all my orders. I must say I feel so tickled every time I see all the orders all lined up ready to go out on the new table.

Next week, I am sourcing new fabrics for shirts, dresses and jackets...yes I will be adding larger sizes too. I am also in the process of drawing up some new designs for prints of the Coco and the Owl series, which shall be printed on to cute t-shirts. I'm very excited about this!!

Oh,I forgot to say, there are only 2 Dark Grey jackets in size 1-2yrs left, be quick if you'd like to buy one.

The long awaited new coat is here, boy, have I been getting some emails in regards to this one!

This gorgeous 100% dark grey versace wool coat comes in sizes 6-12mths and 1-2yrs only. Stock is limited, so get your buying boots on. The jacket is fully lined in 100% cotton and the hood has a sweet folklore print. A red ribbon loops around the spotty button on the front.

On the Sydney side of things

Back from my trip to Sydney and still reeling from the fantastic time I had. To see everyone after so long was nothing less than amazing. The connection shared in school was clearly there still which elapsed into non stop laughter, too much champagne, talking about old times and enjoying every moment together.

Back home and ..well..my heart aches, I miss them all so much and have a bad case of the holiday blues. : (

But nothing a busy week couldn't fix or at least distract me!

 
Orders last week were sent along with the Easter bunny, hope they got there on time for you all. But you know how that bunny likes to eat chocolate and lay on the lounge...so if you haven't received your parcel yet I'm sure it will arrive soon.

Thank you little Skout for the heads up...A Tea Pony dress was in Womans Day mag this week.

This week I shall be popping up some more jackets in size 1-2yrs...seeing as though you have all gobbled up the last ones and have been asking for more.

For me this week, well, it was a busy one as usual- horse riding, yoga, bbq's with friends, master chef dinner at my friend's Charlie & Shane's house (we bought them tapioca as the secret ingredient- yes, they weren't happy with that...but must say they did a great job, I was very impressed and spent a great night laughing and eating with them!)

And of course...too much chocolate, happy easter everyone xx

Sunsuits, jackets and old school tyes.

 Yes, at Tea Pony today I have done it! I have merged winter and summer all together this time.   You all asked for them so I have both available on Etsy and also Made it  . The shops have different sunsuits, so it pays to have a peek at both shops.
 

I've got tingling fingers and butterflies in my tummy, all because of the coming weekend.

I have the most amazing night arranged with my old school friends. I can't wait! Some of them I haven't seen for 15 years...yikes... that tells you my age! 'Abby' My best friend from school is flying from England just for the catch up! We have booked an apartment for the weekend just for the girls, all 6 of us! No partners, no kids, no having to wake up early! Bliss and lots of cheese, champange, dancing and laughter.

I think I shall scream when I see them.
